HOW IT HAPPENED
• The largest run for either team was an 8-2 spurt by the hosts with two minutes left to play in the first half, but the Anchormen kept it close with a four-point, 44-40, deficit heading into the break.

• UMB never fully broke away from RIC, but its defense held the visitors to just 11 percent shooting from three-point range during the second half as the Anchormen dropped their third straight Little East matchup.
