Boston, Mass.--Senior guard Loudon Chupas (Colchester, Conn.) scored 21 points and grabbed four boards as Rhode Island College fell vs. UMass Boston, 82-69, at the Clark Athletic Center Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The largest run for either team was an 8-2 spurt by the hosts with two minutes left to play in the first half, but the Anchormen kept it close with a four-point, 44-40, deficit heading into the break.
 
• UMB never fully broke away from RIC, but its defense held the visitors to just 11 percent shooting from three-point range during the second half as the Anchormen dropped their third straight Little East matchup.

• Junior guard Xavier Mendez (Pawtucket, R.I.) contributed 15 points and 15 rebounds, while senior forward Tyriek Weeks (Warwick, R.I.) recorded 13 points and six boards.

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will continue Little East play at home vs. Eastern Connecticut on Wednesday, Feb. 11 (7:30 p.m.).
