Aidan Faria (Cumberland, R.I.) went 2-0 to reach the semifinals of the 174 lbs. weight class at the 2026 NCAA Div. III Northeast Regional Wrestling Championship, hosted by Coast Guard on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Faria started his day off with a pin, then earned a decision to reach the semifinals, which will take place on Sunday morning.
• Freshman 125 lbs.
Domenick Sousa (Smithfield, R.I.) went 2-1 during the first day of competition. After falling in his first bout, Sousa rebounded with a pin and a decision to secure a spot on the podium tomorrow.
• Senior 157 lbs.
Wil Hunt (Providence, R.I.) went 2-1 as well to secure a spot on the podium tomorrow. After dropping his opening match, Hunt notched back-to-back falls during wrestlebacks to end the first day of competition.

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the second and final day of competition at 2026 NCAA Div. III Northeast Region Championships, hosted by Coast Guard on Sunday, March 1.
