Wolves Hand Anchormen Third Straight Setback

Danbury, Conn.--Freshman guard Noe Bom (Hamburg, Germany) recorded 13 points and a pair of steals as Rhode Island College lost vs. Western Connecticut, 91-68, at the William A. O'Neill Center on Thursday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• RIC struggled to find a rhythm early against the Wolves as the visitors committed 16 turnovers in just the first half.
 
• Senior forward Tyriek Weeks (Warwick, R.I.) knocked down three triples in the first half, however, WestConn held a hefty 20-point lead, 47-27, after 20 minutes.
 
• The Wolves outshot the Anchormen in the second half as the hosts made 50 percent of their shots from the floor to close out the visitors.
 
• Weeks had 13 points and seven boards.

• Junior forward Xavier Mendez (Pawtucket, R.I.) posted 13 points and five boards.
 
WHAT'S NEXT
In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will continue Little East play at home vs. Keene State on Saturday, Jan. 10 (3 p.m.).
