Providence, R.I.—Rhode Island College senior distance runner Haley Oliver (Coventry, R.I.) and freshman sprinter Naibel Noriega (Providence, R.I.) were recognized by the Little East for their respective performances at Wheaton's Lyons Invitational on Jan. 24.
Oliver was named the Little East Women's Track Athlete of the Week. It is the second time this season that she has received this award. Oliver finished first in the 800m (2:22.50) and second in the mile (5:07.78).
Noriega was named the Little East Women's Rookie Track Athlete of the Week. She finished first in both the 400m invite (59.30) and the 4x400m mixed relay (3:45.78).

Rhode Island College placed fourth (seven teams) with a team score of 49.50. Coast Guard won the invitational with a team score of 117.50.
In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at Boston University's John Thomas Terrier Classic on Saturday, Jan. 31.
