HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Anchormen opened the game on a 7-0 run within the first four minutes until the Panthers got going and tied it up with 13 minutes left in the half.
Â
• RIC's defense was spectacular, allowing just eight more points, while hanging 42 on the visitors, to end the first half in comfortable control, 42-15.
Â
• The hosts opened the second half the same way they started the game, on a 7-0 run.
Â
• Although the Panthers started to make shots, the damage had been done as freshman guard
Noe Bom (Hamburg, Germany) and senior forward
Tyriek Weeks (Warwick, R.I.) both made buckets to negate any momentum the Panthers were looking for.
Â
• Weeks posted 13 points, while Bom tallied nine, on the day.
Â
• Sophomore guard
Jalen Claude (New Haven, Conn.) was the fourth Anchormen to reach double figures with 10 points.
Â
