HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Panthers cruised through the first set, as they tallied 15 total kills to the Anchorwomen's eight, in a 25-14 victory.

• Despite having more attack errors and less kills in the second frame, RIC knotted it up at one set apiece thanks to a pair of service aces from sophomore libero Caroline Morrell (Gorham, Maine), which closed out Plymouth State, 25-21.

• RIC would take an 11-6 early lead in the third period off another Morrell service ace, only until the Panthers clawed back and dominated the visitors, 25-18, with one potential set remaining.

• PSU accumulated 19 points before the Anchorwomen could make it to 10 in the fourth frame as the visitors would eventually fall, 25-15.

• Junior outside hitter Sarina Marines (Cranston, R.I.) registered team-high nine kills to go along with 13 digs.

• Morrell tallied a match-high five service aces.
