• The Anchormen struggled to find meaningful chances in the first half until freshman midfielder
Julian Orellana (Providence, R.I.) stepped up for a corner kick opportunity and found Duquette's head as RIC took the lead in the 32

• RIC held the Huskies extremely quiet throughout the first half, denying any shots on target, while USM saw its best scoring chance wiped off the board due to an offsides call.

Shane Merklein (Mullica Hill, N.J.) had to make a diving save to his right to keep it a one-goal advantage.
