Jasper Bruins Slot (Scituate, R.I.) earned medalist honors with a first place finish as the Rhode Island College men's golf team finished first (five teams) at the RIC Fall Invitational played at Valley Country Club on Tuesday afternoon.

THE BASICS
• RIC finished first (five teams) with a team score of 298. Emmanuel (306), Keene State (307), Nichols (317) and RIC's B team (325) rounded out the field.

• 25 golfers competed at the invitational, which was a par-72 and measured 6,508 yards.

• Bruins Slot finished first with a 71 (-1). It is the second consecutive first place finish this year for him.
