HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Anchorwomen dominated the first stanza, as the visitors went on a 5-1 run, which included a pair of Marines winners, to take the set, 25-13.

• The Vikings put up a fight in the second period, but back-to-back points from junior outside hitter Marina Colonis (Waterford, Conn.) and senior middle hitter Sydnee Pires (Rochester, Mass.) gave RIC the momentum to go up, 2-0, with a 25-22 decision

• A kill by senior right side hitter Bethanie Jean-Philippe (Cranston, R.I.) tied the third frame at 17-apiece, until the Anchorwomen would just escape the Vikings and clinch the victory by winning the final set, 25-23.
