• Attack errors throughout the first half from BSU kept RIC in the first set until the hosts pulled away for the final three points to take the frame by four, 25-21.

Sarina Marines (Cranston, R.I.) started a 4-1 run to end the second frame to help the visitors to a 25-18 win and even the contest.

• The Bears were just too much for the Anchorwomen in their first road match, winning the third period, 25-18, and cruising in the last, 25-17, to secure the 3-1 win.
