Izaiah Rivera Named All-Region II and Selected for Annual NEIBA All-Star Game

Providence, R.I.—Rhode Island College fifth-year shortstop Izaiah Rivera (Pawtucket, R.I.) was named All-Region II by the New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association (NEIBA) for his performance during the 2025 baseball season.
 
Rivera was also selected to and played in the annual NEIBA All-Star Game, which was held at Holy Cross' Fitton Field on June 1.
 
He was previously named Second Team All-Region by D3baseball.com, First Team All-Region II by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings and First Team All-Little East. He played in 40 games, starting all of them. Rivera batted .344 (53-for-154) with 34 runs scored, 53 hits, nine doubles, four triples, five home runs and 33 RBI. He owned a .552 slugging percentage, a .400 on-base percentage and a .960 fielding percentage.
 
Head Coach Cody Kauffman's team finished the season with a 17-23 overall record and an 8-8 (fifth place) mark in the Little East. The Anchormen went 2-2 at the 2025 Little East Championship and was one of the final three teams remaining in the six-team field.
