Providence, R.I.—Freshman Ethan Clegg (Chepachet, R.I.) and senior Elijah Gouin (Glocester, R.I.) combined for a 6-4 win at No. 2 doubles and won at No. 2 and 3 singles, respectively as Rhode Island College raised its current win streak to eight matches with a 6-1 win over Western New England on Monday afternoon at the RIC Tennis Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Anchormen took the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles. Freshmen James McShane (Riverside, R.I.) and Kyle Neuendorf (Attleboro, Mass.) helped the cause with a 6-2 win at third doubles.
• The Anchormen ripped off four straight singles matches to secure the win. Neuendorf clinched the victory with a straight set (6-2, 6-1) victory at fifth singles.
• Gouin came back from a first set loss to win in three sets (4-6, 6-3, 10-6) and No. 3 singles.
