Noelle Simmons (Goffstown, N.H.) went 3-for-4 with a run scored and a triple as Rhode Island College fell in the second game of a Little East doubleheader vs. Plymouth State, 7-2, at the Dayna A. Bazar Softball Complex on Tuesday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Game two got under way two hours and 40 minutes after the original start time due to a rain delay and poor field conditions.
• RIC surrendered three runs within the first three innings by committing a throwing error to go along with a Panther triple.
• The visitors would jump out to a 5-0 lead off with runs coming in on an RBI single and double during the top of the fourth.

Sydney Duclos (North Providence, R.I.) knocked in a run in the bottom of the sixth and Simmons tripled and came home on a throwing error in the bottom of the seventh.
