Madison Medbury Named a D3hoops.com Fourth Team All-American

Providence, R.I.—Rhode Island College senior guard Madison Medbury (Scituate, R.I.) has been named a D3hoops.com Fourth Team All-American for her performance during the 2024-25 season.
 
Medbury has previously been named an NCAA Div. III Honorable Mention All-American by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA), the D3hoops.com Region 2 Most Outstanding Player and First Team All-Region, Second Team All-Region by the New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA), the Little East Women's Basketball Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, First Team All-Little East and to the league's All-Defensive Team.
 
Medbury was also selected to play in the 2025 WBCA Senior All-Star Game, held in conjunction with the NCAA Div. III Women's Basketball Final Four in Roanoke, Va., on Saturday, March 22.
 
She played in 26 games, starting all of them. Medbury averaged 17.2 ppg, 7.1 rpg, 5.1 apg and 2.5 spg. She reached double figures in scoring in all but two games this winter. Medbury posted a triple double with 15 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists in a 90-40 win over Western Connecticut on Jan. 14. She scored her 1,000th career point in the club's, 56-47, win at Plymouth State on Feb. 8. Medbury was named the Little East Player of the Week twice during the season.
 
Head Coach Jenna Cosgrove's team finished the regular season with a 19-7 overall record and a 14-2  (first place tie) mark in the Little East. The Anchorwomen shared the Little East Regular Season Championship with UMass Dartmouth, marking the fifth straight season that the Anchorwomen have won the league's regular season title.
