Ethan Clegg (Chepachet, R.I.) won in straight sets (6-0, 6-0) at No. 3 singles as Rhode Island College shut out Curry, 9-0, for the Anchormen's first win of the season at the RIC Tennis Center on Thursday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Anchormen lost just five games during the entire match in the win over the winless Colonels.
• RIC took all three doubles matches, led by an 8-1 win by senior

freshman
Travis Chartier (Rehoboth, Mass.) at No. 1 singles.
• After a forfeit at sixth singles, Clegg was the first of four Anchormen to win with a straight set shutout to clinch the win.
