RIC Suffers Third Straight Shutout Setback in, 3-0, Loss vs. Bridgewater State

Providence, R.I.--Sophomore midfielder Nathan Capelo (Rumford, R.I.) created two chances with a pair of shots  as Rhode Island College fell, 3-0, vs. Bridgewater State at Alumni Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Anchormen created the game's first shot of the game as senior defender Daniel Grzybacz (Cumberland, R.I.) missed the net high in the fourth minute.
 
• The Bears built offensive momentum later in the first half as they netted the first score of the contest in the 34th minute to head into the halftime break ahead, 1-0.
 
• BSU counterattacked 10 minutes into the second half and scored their second goal as the ball touched three Bears in a brilliant end-to-end rush.
 
• Capelo and junior midfielder Donovan Battle (Hudson, Mass.) had back-to-back opportunities blocked in front of goal during the 76th minute.
 
• The visitors found one more insurance marker in the 80th minute to hand the hosts their third straight shutout.

• Junior goalkeeper Elhadji Ndoye (Cranston, R.I.) was dealt the loss (0-4-3).

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will resume Little East action at Keene State on Saturday, Oct. 11 (1 p.m.).
