Dartmouth, Mass.--Rhode Island College clinched at least a share of the 2025 Little East Women's Tennis Regular Season Championship with a 7-0 win over UMass Dartmouth on Thursday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Anchorwomen can clinch the outright LEC Regular Season Championship with a win over UMass Boston on Saturday.
 
• RIC has won at least a share of the LEC Regular Season Championship 14 times overall and in eight of the last 11 seasons.
 
• The visitors won two of three in doubles action to take the match's first point. Senior Erica Botelho (Greenville, R.I.) and sophomore Haylie Peacock (West Gardiner, Maine) won, 6-1, at first doubles.
 
• Freshman Faith Owren (Richmond, R.I.) was dominant at No. 5 singles with a (6-0, 6-0) shutout. Botelho won (6-1, 6-0) at third singles and Peacock closed it out with a (6-4, 6-0) win at second singles.
