Providence, R.I.--Rhode Island College clinched the outright Little East Regular Season Championship by downing UMass Boston, 5-2, in the regular season finale for both clubs at the RIC Tennis Center on Saturday afternoon.

• The Anchorwomen swept doubles, led by a decisive, 6-1, win at the top spot by Botelho and sophomore
Haylie Peacock (West Gardiner, Maine).

Emilia Houwers (Whitewater, Wis.) clinched the win with a straight set (6-3, 6-4) win at fourth singles.

• Both Peacock and Botelho went 2-0 on the day.

• RIC has won at least a share of the LEC Regular Season Championship 14 times overall and in eight of the last 11 seasons.
