Providence, R.I.—Freshman Arianna De Thomas (Providence, R.I.) improved to 7-0 with a straight set (6-0, 6-0) shutout at No. 3 singles as Rhode Island College blanked Clark, 7-0, at the RIC Tennis Center on Tuesday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Anchorwomen took the doubles point with a sweep in pairs action. Fifth-year Lauren Macera (Cranston, R.I.) and junior Erica Botelho (Greenville, R.I.) won, 6-0, at No. 1 doubles.
 
• RIC took all six in individual action, with fifth-year Amiah Sommer (Cumberland, R.I.) nailing down the team win with a straight set win (6-0, 6-3) decision at No. 5 singles.
 
• Senior Amara Devine (Greenville, R.I.) posted a dominant win (6-0, 6-1) at sixth singles.
 
• It was the fifth shutout win on the season for the hosts.
