Elijah Gouin (Glocester, R.I.) came back from a first set loss to win at No. 3 singles and clinch a 5-3 win as No. 2 Rhode Island College defeated No. 3 Western Connecticut in the semifinals of the 2024 Little East Men's Tennis Championship played at the RIC Tennis Center on Thursday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Anchormen took two of three in doubles action as junior
Noah Morin (Smithfield, R.I.) paired with classmate
Zach Siemmao (Wakefield, R.I.) for the first time this season and secured an 8-3 victory at No. 2 doubles.

• The Wolves took a 3-2 lead with victories at No. 2 and 5 singles.

• After Western took a 3-2 lead, Siemmao won (6-4, 6-4) at No. 4 singles, senior
Peter Pond (Providence, R.I.) won at sixth singles (6-1, 7-5)Â and Gouin then won (4-6. 6-3, 6-2) to send the Anchorwomen to the final.

• RIC is making its third trip in the past four seasons to the Little East Championship Final.
