Providence, R.I.—Junior midfielder Hannah Marley (Tiverton, R.I.) scored her 10^th goal of the season while also contributing an assist, as the Rhode Island College lost, 17-3, vs. Southern Maine, 17-3, in Little East action played at Alumni Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Huskies raced out to a 5-0 lead over the first 10 minutes of play before freshman attacker Sophie DeFlitch (Hummelstown, Pa.) would score her team-leading 12^th goal of the year to put RIC on the board with 3:55 to go in the first quarter.
 
• Southern Maine continued to dominate in the second quarter, scoring seven goals to take a 12-1 lead going into halftime.
 
• The Huskies used sound defense and strong offensive zone time to coast the rest of the way.
 
• RIC freshman goalkeeper Giana Franco (Salem, Conn.) made 10 saves in the loss (1-8).
 
• DeFlitch and fifth-year defender Shannon O'Connell (Narragansett, R.I.) each picked four ground balls.
