• The Beacons took a 2-0 lead in the first inning after a two-run home run. The Anchormen would respond with a three-run second inning, led by junior catcher
Lucas Pierce's (Chepachet, R.I.) two-run single, to take a 3-2 lead.
• UMass Boston put the game out of reach by smacking a pair of two-run homers in the sixth inning.

Cole Podedworny (Wakefield, R.I.) registered a sacrifice fly as part of a two-run bottom of the ninth for the hosts.
