Providence, R.I.—Senior first baseman Katelyn Ashe (Colchester, Conn.) went 2-for-3 with three RBI and a double as Rhode Island College downed Albertus Magnus, 4-1, to complete a doubleheader sweep at the Dayna A. Bazar Softball Complex on Tuesday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Ashe continued to terrorize Falcon pitching with a two-run double in the first inning.
 
• Sophomore second baseman Noelle Simmons (Goffstown, N.H.) knocked in a run on a ground out and Ashe singled in another to put the hosts up, 4-1, after four.
 
• Senior center fielder Avery Katz (Brookfield, Conn.) notched an RBI single for another insurance run in the sixth.
 
• Junior pitcher Taylor Babcock (East Providence, R.I.) hurled 4.1 innings to secure her seventh (7-0) win. Freshman reliever Ashleigh von der Linden (Stratham, N.H.) closed out the Falcons to pick up her second save (2).
 
• Katz went 2-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI. Senior third baseman Victoria Young (Sterling, Conn.) went 2-for-3 with a run scored. Freshman left fielder Melanie Earley (Lumberton, N.J.) went 3-for-3.
