Lucas McElroy (Westport, Mass.) scored the lone run for the Anchormen as the Rhode Island College lost vs. Salve Regina, 4-1, in a rain-shortened contest played at Pontarelli Field on Thursday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• With RIC trailing, 1-0, in the fourth, McElroy scored on a wild pitch to tie the game up.
• The Seahawks snapped the deadlock in the top of the fifth by scoring three times to take a 4-1 lead.

Ethan Harnois (North Smithfield R.I.) pitched the top of the sixth inning in his first collegiate appearance and recorded a strikeout. The game was called early due to heavy rain before the bottom half of the sixth could be played.
