Seaver and McElroy Lead Anchormen in, 7-1, Win at Curry

Milton, Mass.--Sophomore second baseman Lucas McElroy (Westport, Mass.) went 2-for-4 with two RBI as Rhode Island College defeated Curry, 7-1, in game one of a doubleheader on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Anchormen started off with a bang as junior first baseman Daniel Trzepacz (Mont Vernon, N.H.) stole home to give the Anchormen a 1-0 lead in the first inning.
 
• RIC would score three runs in the second and third innings, which included a two-run double from McElroy, to take a commanding, 7-0, lead.
 
• Junior starter Ryan Seaver (Norton, Mass.) pitched all seven innings, allowing just three hits and striking out four batters, for the win (2-3).
 
• Trzepacz went 1-for-3 with a two runs scored.
