Kelsey Gates (Orangeville, Pa.) was the floor champion, as Rhode Island College finished third (seven teams) at the 2024 National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA) East Region Championship, hosted by Ithaca on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Anchorwomen finished .075 behind second place Cortland to finish third in the seven-team field. The top two teams move on to the 2024 NCGA National Championship, hosted by Ursinus on Saturday, March 22 (2 p.m.).

• RIC's 191.575 team score is a new program record for a meet.

• Keyes was the NCGA East Region All-Around Champion for the third straight season, finishing first overall (38.525). She also was the East Region Beam Champion with a first place finish (9.800). Keyes was also the Anchorwomen's top performer on bars with a 16
th place finish (9.600).

• Gates was the NCGA East Region Floor Champion for the second straight season, finishing first overall (9.875). In addition to the floor, she also earned All-Region honors in the all-around with a sixth place finish (37.625).

Emma Tucker (Pompton Plains, N.J.) earned All-Region honors on beam with a second place finish (9.775) and on vault with a third place finish (9.775), which is a new program record for that event.
