Olivia Keyes (Bridgewater, Mass.) was named the National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA) Senior Athlete of the Year and earned All-American honors, along with fifth-year
Kelsey Gates (Orangeville, Pa.) and senior
Emma Tucker (Pompton Plains, N.J.), at the 2024 NCGA National Championship, hosted by Ursinus on Saturday afternoon.
THE BASICS
• Keyes was an individual qualifier as an all-around gymnast and was making her third straight appearance at the NCGA National Championship.
• Gates was an individual qualifier as an all-around gymnast and was making her third straight appearance at the NCGA National Championship.
• Tucker qualified as a vault, beam and floor specialist and was making her third straight appearance at the NCGA National Championship.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Keyes earned All-American honors with a third place finish in the all-around and a seventh place performance on floor. It was her fifth and sixth career All-American awards, having totaled three in the all-around, two on floor and one on beam. She tied for 42
nd on vault (9.425), tied for 17
th on bars (9.600), tied for 32
nd on beam (9.550), tied for seventh on floor (9.825) and was third in the all-around (38.400). Keyes was also named an NCGA All-American in Academics.
• Gates earned All-American honors with a second place finish on floor and a seventh place performance in the all-around. It was her fifth and sixth career All-American awards, having totaled three in both the all-around and on floor. She finished 47
th on vault (9.350), 42
nd on bars (8.900), tied for 37
th on beam (9.300), tied for second on floor (9.875) and was seventh in the all-around (37.425).
• Tucker earned her first career All-American honor with a seventh place tie on vault (9.700). She also finished tied for 42
