Connecticut College (8-1-4)
Rhode Island College (9-4-1)
HOW IT HAPPENED
• After an early corner kick and then a foul on RIC, the Camels found themselves with an early free kick right outside the 18-yard box. Senior midfielder
Rye Jaran (Downingtown, Pa.) placed the free kick into the bottom right corner in the eighth minute for what would prove to be the game-winner.
• Not long after, Perrotto was faced with a one-on-one chance from the Camels and made an excellent save to keep the game a one-score affair.
• The Camels' defense was stifling, allowing just five shots by the hosts, two which were on net, on the day.
• In the 82
nd minute, RIC's net was empty to an uncontested Camel attacker. However, RIC sophomore midfielder
Donovan Battle (Hudson, Mass.) hustled back to make a sliding goal line stop.
• Perrotto took the loss (7-3-1) as the Anchormen were shut out for the second consecutive game, the only two times RIC has failed to score in a game this fall.
