HOW IT HAPPENED
• Fifth-year forward
Izabelle Booth (Newport, R.I.) scored six points in the first quarter as the hosts jumped out to a 23-5 Anchorwomen lead after the first 10 minutes.
Â
• A layup by Guerrier with 1:12 remaining in the second quarter, which would bring her to the 10-point threshold, gave RIC a 38-13 lead, just before halftime.
Â
• Back-to-back layups from fifth-year center
Neleesha Meunier (Leominster, Mass.) helped give the Anchorwomen a 57-26 lead with 1:58 left in the third quarter.
Â
• Despite the host's outscoring RIC, 27-12, in the fourth quarter, the massive lead was too much for UMass Boston as the third-ranked Anchorwomen increased their program-record win streak to 20 games.
Â
• RIC swept the season series from UMB, having downed the Beacons, 90-40, at The Murray Center on Dec. 9, 2023.
Â
• RIC has won 20 or more games in each of the last three seasons and in four of the last five campaigns.
Â
• Fifth-year guard
Jeniyah Jones (Randolph, Mass.) filled the stat sheet with 10 rebounds, seven points, five steals and three steals on the day.
Â
• Booth added 10 points, six boards, two assists, one bock and a steal. Meunier ripped off eight points and four boards in 11 minutes off the bench.
