Dartmouth, Mass.—Fifth-year guard Jeniyah Jones (Randolph, Mass.) registered 12 points and 14 rebounds for her first double-double of the season as the No. 3-ranked Rhode Island College women's basketball team defeated UMass Dartmouth, 62-50, in a Little East contest on Wednesday night.

Rhode Island College (21-0, 11-0 LEC)
UMass Dartmouth (17-3, 9-2 LEC)

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Fifth-year forward Izabelle Booth (Newport, R.I.) would score seven points in the first quarter in a tightly contested first 10 minutes to help build a 17-14 lead for the Anchorwomen.

• Another evenly matched second quarter would see the RIC lead grow to nine points, 33-24, going into halftime, thanks in part to junior forward Angelina Nardolillo (Hinsdale, N.H.) netting six points in the stanza.

• The Corsairs would close the gap in the third quarter, hitting back-to-back three-pointers to cut the undefeated visitor's lead down to one possession, 43-40, heading into the final 10 minutes.

• A 10-2 run over the first 3:08 of the fourth quarter would give RIC a comfortable, 53-42, lead with 6:52 remaining in the contest.

• RIC, which defeated UMD, 69-31, on Jan. 4, completed the season sweep over the Corsairs with the win.

• Graduate student guard Sophia Guerrier (Waltham, Mass.) scored a team high of 13 points in the win.

• Jones also dished out three assists on the night. Five Anchorwomen reached double figures in scoring. Junior guard Jayda Bing (Hamilton, N.J.) racked up 11 off the bench, while Nardolillo and Booth contributed 10 points apiece.
