Isiah McCallam (Orange, N.J.) established a new career-high with 23 points as the Rhode Island College men's basketball team took down Eastern Connecticut 85-52, in Little East action played at Geissler Gymnasium on Wednesday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Anchormen would go on a 13-0 run, with all 13 points coming from either McCallam or sophomore guard
Isaiah Dahl (Cornelius, Ore.), to help the visitors build a 20-8 lead with 11:35 remaining in the first half.

• McCallam shot a perfect 4-for-4 from three-point range within the first 10 minutes of the contest. He would finish a perfect 5-for-5 from long range.

• The Anchormen would close out the first half by going on a 12-2 run over the final 5:11 of the frame to head into halftime with a 42-22 lead.

• After the two sides exchanged buckets for most of the second half, RIC extended its lead by outscoring the hosts, 19-2, over a 5:53 time span to take a commanding, 79-42, lead with 2:59 left in the game.

Ousmane Kourouma (Woonsocket, R.I.) finished with 10 points and 14 rebounds for his 13
th double-double this season.
