HOW IT HAPPENED
• The first set was evenly matched and was eventually tied at 16. The Mariners pulled away late to take the first set by three, 25-22.
• The Mariners took an early 7-4 lead in the second set, but were quickly overrun in the middle stages of the stanza as the Anchorwomen rallied to take a 19-12 lead. They continued the second set dominance to take the set by nine, 25-16.
• In the third set, kills by Philbrick, freshman outside hitter

Mariah Barbosa (North Attleboro, Mass.) put the Anchorwomen up, 8-4.
• The Mariners responded by going on a 9-1 run in the third set to win by six, 25-19.
• The fourth set saw the score tied 12 different times, along with seven lead changes. Philbrick recorded four kills in the stanza to tie the match, 2-2.
• In the fifth set, the Anchorwomen took a 1-0 lead and never looked back, securing the match with a 15-9 victory.
• Freshman setter
Yuleisy Alvelo (Springfield, Mass.) registered 23 assists.

Marina Colonis (Waterford, Conn.) tallied 15 digs.
• Mitchell senior middle hitter
Sarah Aviles (Griswold, Conn.) racked up a game-high 15 kills, while junior setter
Bliss Brown (Rainbow City, Ala.) handed out 29 assists.
