HOW IT HAPPENED

Â
• The Anchorwomen added onto their lead in the 25
th minute as Cary slipped a perfect pass through multiple defenders to allow Forte to shoot it into the lower right portion of the net, which extended the Anchorwomen's lead to 2-0.
Â
• Rhode Island College would hold that advantage into the second half. RIC led in shots, 13-4, after 45 minutes.
Â
• In the 52

• Williams, Forte, and Cary each scored their first goals of the season.
Â
• Junior goalkeeper
Chloe Angelone (Bayville, N.Y.) was credited with her first collegiate win (1-0-1) as she held down the fort for the first 75 minutes of the match and made two saves.
Â
• Dean sophomore goalkeeper
Lexi Gerow (Pownal, Vt.) made eight saves in the losing effort. (0-1-0).
Â
• Coupled with the Anchorwomen's, 0-0, tie vs. Maine Farmington on Friday evening, it marks the first time since 2011 that RIC has gone unbeaten over the first two games of the year and it is the first time since the 2013 campaign that RIC has pitched back-to-back shutouts.
