Castleton, Vt.--Junior Amara Devine (Greenville, R.I.) went 2-0 as the Rhode Island College women's tennis team picked up their first Little East win of the season in a 9-0 win at Vermont State University Castleton on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Anchorwomen went nearly perfect in doubles action, losing only two games across all three matches. Senior Lauren Macera (Cranston, R.I.) and sophomore Erica Botelho (Greenville, R.I.) picked up an 8-0 win at No. 1 doubles.
 
• RIC swept all six single matches, with Devine securing a straight set (6-0, 6-1) victory at the No. 4 spot, to clinch the victory.
 
• Devine and senior Amiah Sommer (Cumberland, R.I.) tallied an 8-1 win at No. 2 doubles.
 
• It was the second straight shutout for the club.
