HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Anchorwomen had an opportunity just 30 seconds into the opening kickoff as junior forward Serena Forte (Hope, R.I.) took a shot that was saved by Colonels junior goalkeeper Hannah Correa (Carver, Mass.).

• Curry tried to respond over the remainder of the first half, but RIC junior goalkeeper Chloe Angelone (Bayville, N.Y.) was able to keep the game scoreless through the first 45 minutes.

• Curry held the lead in shots, 4-1, at halftime.

• RIC finally broke the tie in the 57th minute as Ruzzano headed in her first goal of the season off a corner kick by sophomore back Karen Johnson-Hoffman (Groton, Conn.).

• That proved to be the only goal scored in the contest as neither team could find the back of the net for the remainder of the game.

• Correa made four saves in the loss (1-2-2).

• Angelone recorded three saves and a shutout in the winning effort (2-0-1).

• It is RIC's third shutout of the season. The victory for the Anchorwomen is their first vs. the Colonels. RIC had dropped the previous nine meetings with Curry.
