Elijah Gouin (Glocester, R.I.) won in straight sets to clinch a 7-2 win for Rhode Island College vs. Suffolk on Thursday afternoon at the RIC Tennis Center.

• RIC built a 2-1 advantage after doubles, with sophomore
Zach Siemmao (Wakefield, R.I.) and freshman
Kyle O'Connor (Foster, R.I.) picking up an 8-0 shutout at the No. 3 spot.
• The Anchormen registered shutout wins (6-0, 6-0) by Siemmao and classmate
Andrew Fanning (Greenville, R.I.) at No. 5 and 6 singles, respectively, and Gouin closed out the win with a (6-1, 6-2) victory at No. 4 singles.
