Cole Podedworny (Wakefield, R.I.) went 3-for-5, homered twice and knocked in three runs as Rhode Island College defeated Roger Williams, 10-7, at Pontarelli Field on Thursday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Hawks used a five-run second inning to build a 5-2 advantage.
• The hosts got three runs back in the third to tie the game, 5-5, led by a Podedworny two-run homer.
• Sophomore first baseman
Daniel Trzepacz (Mont Vernon, N.H.) put RIC on top, 6-5, with an RBI single in the fourth.
• The Anchormen put the game away in the seventh, thanks to a solo shot by Podedworny and a three-run double from Trzepacz.

Shaun Gamelin (West Kingston, R.I.) struck out 11 to earn his sixth (6-1) win of the season. Classmate

• It marked the second win of the year vs. the Hawks, as the Anchormen won, 5-2, in Bristol on March 21.
