HOW IT HAPPENED
• RIC scored first in the first inning on a wild pitch. Pfeiffer would respond in the bottom of the second frame with a home run and a single that resulted in a two-run lead, 3-1.

• The Anchorwomen responded in the fourth and fifth innings, taking a 6-3 lead at the conclusion of the top of the fifth. Ashe hit a two-run bomb, which was followed by a homer by senior third baseman
Cassidy Schoen (Hopewell Junction, N.Y.).

• The Falcons clawed back slowly but surely, getting a run in the fifth and tying the game with a bomb in the bottom of the seventh inning.

• Ultimately, it was a wild pitch that scored the winning run after a runner was placed on second due to the tiebreaker in extra innings as the Falcons went home winners in dramatic fashion.
