Raleigh, N.C.--Freshman second baseman Noelle Simmons (Manchester, N.H.) collected a pair of hits as the Rhode Island College softball team was turned away by Huntingdon, 4-1, at the Grand Slam Triangle Classic on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Huntingdon scored a run in the first and second inning to go up by a pair, 2-0.
 
• RIC was able to score off of an error to cut the lead down to one in the fourth inning.
 
• The Hawks were able to plate a pair of insurance runs in the fifth inning.
 
• Simmons picked up two hits and scored the lone run for the Anchorwomen.
 
• Freshman Sam Bergantino (Coventry, R.I.) suffered the loss (1-2)
