Alexis Boyce (Wolcott, Conn.) went 3-for-4 with two runs scored, two home runs and four RBI as Rhode Island College defeated Salve Regina, 10-2 (six innings) in game one of a doubleheader played at the Dayna A. Bazar Softball Complex on Tuesday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• RIC led by one, 3-2, in the bottom of the fourth when Boyce launched a two-run bomb (4) to give the hosts the lead, 5-2.
• The Anchorwomen tacked on two in the fifth as freshman designated player
Sophia Crudale (Cranston, R.I.) and sophomore right fielder
Paige Jones (New Hyde Park, N.Y.) each notched RBI doubles.
• The Anchorwomen ended the game an inning early with a three-run sixth, thanks to an RBI groundout by senior third baseman
Cassidy Schoen (Hopewell Junction, N.Y.) and a pair of Seahawk wild pitches.
• Kidd evened her record, going the distance and allowing one earned run on five hits.
