Katelyn Ashe (Colchester, Conn.) drove in RIC's lone run as the Rhode Island College softball team was defeated by Williams Peace, 2-1, at the Grand Slam Triangle Classic on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• After giving up a home run earlier in the game, Ashe doubles in junior center fielder
Avery Katz (Brookfield, Conn.) in the fourth inning.

• WP took the lead right back with an RBI double in the home half of the fifth and shut down the Anchorwomen offense the rest of the day.

• Ashe went 1-for-2 with the run driven in and a walk.

Abby Kidd (Granby, Conn.) struck out nine in the loss (0-2) and went 1-for-3 at the plate.
