Danbury, Conn.--Sophomore guard 
Madison Medbury (Scituate, R.I.) registered 14 points as the Rhode Island College women's basketball team defeated Western Connecticut, 70-47, in Little East action played at Feldman Arena on Wednesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• RIC and WCSU had a tight first quarter, with the Anchorwomen leading by three, 17-14.
 
• Over the next two quarters, RIC outpaced the Wolves, 38-17, and headed into the final stanza up by over 20 points, 55-31.
 
• RIC maintained the cushion for the remainder of the contest and pushed its win streak to 18 games.
 
• Four Anchorwomen scored in double figures, led by senior forward 
Izabelle Booth's (Newport, R.I.) 19 points.
 
• Medbury finished with 14 points, five rebounds, three assists and four steals.
 
• WCSU graduate forward 
Katelyn Fanning (Dobbs Ferry, N.Y.) registered 15 points and five rebounds in the loss.
