Cambridge, Mass.--Senior forward Ousmane Kourouma (Woonsocket, R.I.) scored 16 points and grabbed 12 rebounds as the Rhode Island College defeated MIT, 90-81, on Wednesday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Anchormen went on a 9-0 run early in the first half to take a 13-9 lead after eight minutes of play. Kourouma scored six of the nine points during the run.
 
• RIC shot 53 percent from the field in the first half to take a 41-35 lead into halftime.
 
• A dunk by senior guard KJ Uga (Hyde Park, Mass.) extended the Anchormen's lead to 15, 63-48, with less than 10 minutes to play.
 
• Sophomore guard Isaiah Dahl (Cornelius, Ore.) hit back-to-back three-pointers to kick off an 11-0 run to increase the visitor's lead to game-high 28 points, 87-59.
 
• Junior guard Deyshawn Tengbeh (East Providence, R.I.) dropped in 19 points to go along with six rebounds. Uga contributed 13 points, while freshman guard CJ Wilson (Hartford, Conn.) registered eight points, five rebounds, seven assists and four steals.
