Danbury, Conn.--Junior goalkeeper Chloe Angelone (Bayville, N.Y.) played the first half and recorded six saves as the Rhode Island College women's soccer team lost at Western Connecticut, 5-0, in the Anchorwomen's regular season finale on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• WestConn opened the scoring in the 23^rd minute when senior midfielder Myah Croze (Bristol, Conn.) scored her first goal of the game. Croze would score again in the 58^th minute to bring her season goal total to 17.
 
• Senior midfielder Hannah Daly (Newtown, Conn.) scored in the 38^th minute to double the Wolves lead. Croze was awarded an assist.
 
• Just 90 seconds into the second half, junior midfielder Adriana Alfano (New Milford, Conn.) would score, which was also assisted by Croze.
 
• After Croze's second goal, senior midfielder Olivia Kotsaftis (Prospect, Conn.) was awarded a penalty kick, which she converted to close out the game's offensive output.
 
• Angelone tallied nine saves in the loss (7-2-3).
 
• WestConn freshman goalkeeper Gracen Regan (Monroe, N.J.) recorded a single save in the winning effort (8-6-3).

In upcoming action, No. 5-seeded Rhode Island College will travel to No. 4-seeded UMass Boston for first round action of the 2023 Little East Women's Soccer Championship on Tuesday, Oct. 31 (TBA).
