Jeniyah Jones (Randolph, Mass.) recorded a double-double as the Rhode Island College women's basketball team defeated Eastern Connecticut, 51-37, in Little East action played at The Murray Center on Wednesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• With ECSU up, 7-4, with 5:06 left in the first quarter, RIC went on a 7-0 run to go up by four, 11-7, with 30 seconds left, and entered the second quarter with a two-point, 11-9, advantage.

• RIC's defense put a stranglehold on the Warriors, allowing just six points during the entire second quarter. The Anchorwomen were able to take a double-digit point lead into the second half.

• The Warriors were able to make the game a single-digit contest briefly with three minutes remaining in the third quarter, but RIC was able to bring the lead back up to 10 points and went into the final stanza up by 11, 41-30.

• The Anchorwomen were able to keep the Warriors at a comfortable distance for the remainder of the game and left the building with their 10th straight win.

• Jones finished with 15 points, 10 rebounds and four steals. Senior forward
Izabelle Booth (Newport, R.I.) pulled down 12 boards, scored seven points and swiped four steals.
