Anchorwomen Roll Past Keene State, 72-30

Providence, R.I.--Six Anchorwomen scored at least eight points in a total team effort as the Rhode Island College women's basketball team defeated Keene State, 72-30, in Little East action played at The Murray Center on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Anchorwomen fired on all cylinders right out of the gate, scoring 26 first quarter points and allowing just seven to the Owls.
 
• RIC made it a 30-point ball game midway through the second quarter and kept it that way through the remainder of the contest. The Anchorwomen allowed single digits in each of the first three quarters.
 
• Senior center Neleesha Meunier (Leominster, Mass.) led all scorers with 11 points and hauled down five rebounds.
 
• Sophomore forward Angelina Nardolillo (Hinsdale, N.H.) racked up eight points, nine rebounds and three blocks, while senior guard Jeniyah Jones (Randolph, Mass.) contributed six points, nine rebounds, four assists and three steals.
 
• KSU junior forward Rylee Burgess (Rutland, Vt.) led all Owls with seven points.
 
• The Anchorwomen extended their winning streak to 17 games.
 
• RIC has won by 20 or more points in seven of its 18 victories.
 
WHAT'S NEXT
In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will continue Little East action at Western Connecticut on Wednesday, Feb. 1 (5 p.m.).
