Noresca Leads Anchormen in, 91-55, Loss vs. Western Connecticut

Providence, R.I.--Junior forward Mitchel Noresca (East Providence, R.I.) scored 16 points off the bench as the Rhode Island College men's basketball team fell vs. Western Connecticut, 91-55, in Little East men's basketball action played at The Murray Center on Wednesday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Senior forward Xavier Landers (Westwood, N.J.) hit a layup at the 12:15 mark in the first half to cut the Wolves lead to three, 10-7. The visitors would then score 15 unanswered points over the next five minutes to make the game, 25-7, in WCSU's favor.
 
• The visitors outmatched the Anchormen the entire game, winning handedly to improve to 11-1 on the season.
 
• Noresca registered 16 points and five rebounds, while junior center Ousmane Kourouma (Woonsocket, R.I.) had 12 rebounds.
 
• WCSU senior guard Kendall Robinson (Bellport, N.Y.) had a terrific game, scoring 28 points, swiping six steals and converting six three-point attempts. Senior forward Ryan Alkins (Queens, N.Y.) chipped in with 18 points.
 
WHAT'S NEXT
In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will continue Little East action at home vs. Plymouth State on Saturday, Jan. 14 (3 p.m.).
