Aubrey St. Onge (Tilton, N.H.) tied for the match-high with 10 digs as Rhode Island College fell, 3-0, vs. Western Connecticut in Little East women's volleyball action played at The Murray Center on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• With the visitors leading by six, 17-11, the Wolves used a side-out to jump start a three-point run to reach the 20-point plateau. RIC got within eight, 21-13, but Western ripped off the final four points to win by 12, 25-13.
• Midway through set two, WCSU held a 13-6 advantage and kept the hosts at arm's length the remainder of the stanza to win by 12, 25-13, once again.
• The third set was a little closer through the mid-way point, but the Wolves cruised to an eight-point, 25-17, victory to seal the match.
• RIC senior outside hitter
Amelia Murphy (North Attleboro, Mass.) had five kills and seven digs. Junior middle hitter
Megan Philbrick (Johnston, R.I.) had three kills and four block assists.
• Western Connecticut freshman outside hitter
Sydney Slupatchuk (New Milford, Conn.) and junior libero
Olivia Monteleone (Cold Spring, N.Y.) tied St. Onge with a match-best 10 digs.
• Graduate middle blocker
Abby Debes (New Milford, Conn.) registered a match-high eight kills to go along with three blocks. Senior setter
Rory McMaster (Canton, Mich.) racked up a match-high 14 assists.
