HOW IT HAPPENED
GAME ONE
• ECSU got on the board first, scoring once in the bottom of the first and then four times in the bottom of the second, paced by a big two-run double from senior first baseman Brook Matyasovsky (Orange, Conn.). ECSU led 5-0 at that point.

• RIC responded with a run-producing single by freshman right fielder Paige Jones (New Hyde Park, N.Y.), which proved to be the team's only run. The Warriors threw another four-spot up on the board and won via the eight-run rule.

• Kidd took the loss (5-8), while ECSU sophomore pitcher Alexis Michon (Montville, Conn.) earned win number 16 of the season (16-1).

GAME TWO
• The hosts picked up right where they left off and notched 10 runs in the first inning alone to bury the visitors. Matyasovsky started and ended the inning with a home run.

• The Rhode Island College offense kicked into gear in the fourth inning, scoring three runs to make the game, 11-4. However, in the bottom of the fifth inning, Matyasovsky again came through for the Warriors and hit a walk-off RBI double to win for the second time that day via the eight-run rule.

• Freshman pitcher Morgan Collupy (Rehoboth, Mass.) was the losing pitcher (2-3). Eastern sophomore pitcher Alyssa Vilchez (Brampton, Ontario) was the winning pitcher (3-0).
