Warwick, R.I.--Junior Anthony Loiselle (Providence, R.I.) tied for ninth overall as the Anchormen opened the spring portion of their 2021-22 season with a sixth place tie (12 teams) at the Rhode Island College Spring Invitational on Friday afternoon.
 
THE BASICS
• The event was held at Valley Country Club, which is a par 72. The course measured 6,523 yards.
 
• The Anchormen posted a team score 339 (+51), which tied RIC with Southern Maine for sixth overall.
 
• Westfield State took home first overall with a team score of 316 (+28).
 
• 59 golfers competed at the event.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Loiselle carded a 78 (+6).
 
• Freshman David Liao (Hilton Head, S.C.) tied for 26^th with an 85 (+13).
 
• Junior All-Little East Nate Chhim (Tiverton, R.I.) tied for 39^th with an 87 (+15).
 
• Freshman Cameron Mello (Somerset, Mass.) placed 43^rd with an 89 (+17).
 
• Freshman Shane Mello (Somerset, Mass.) tied for 50^th with a 95 (+23).
